I searched about strawberry. How I found the sites;History, Recipe, How to grow, Industry, U.S. Strawberry Trade with Canada, Japan, and Mexico.
Strawberry is popular fruit. I love strawberry, but it is different season my birthday. I feel sad. Strawberry is spring season. However, it is winter season too. So everyone have the mistaken it. I will introduce now.

Strawberry history
Strawberries are native to North America. They are from the rose family, with the most common varieties being a hybrid of the wild Virginia strawberry and a Chilean variety. They are not berries or fruit at all, but enlarged ends of the plant's stamen. Strawberry seeds are on the outer skin, instead of in the inner berry, There are about 200 seeds per berry.

The name Strawberry was derived from the barriers that "Strewn" about on the plants, and "Strewn berry" eventually became "Strawberry". It comes from old English.

How to grow Strawberry
Strawberries are an easy to grow fruit crop. Everyone can easily raise it.
The first, a location gets plenty of sun and is weed free. It is recommended that the soil has good drainage. The second, plant strawberry's seedling in the garden or pot. Strawberry is careful temperature control. SO it is enjoy long time. The last, Strawberry crop is in the latter part of April to July.

How to choose
There are basically 3 types of strawberry plants to choose from: June bearing, Everbearing and Day Neutral. June Bearing strawberries produce a single, large crop per year during a 2 - 3 week period in the spring. Everbearing strawberries produce two to three harvests. Day Neutral strawberries will produce fruit throughout the growing season.


The U.S. Strawberry industry
The U.S. strawberry production in 1993 and another large crop anticipated in 1994 continue. Americans are eating more strawberries grown in the United States.

The U.S. provides about 25 percent of the world's strawberries and trade volum is small compared with U.S. strawberry supply.

It is very surprising.
