Coming of Age Day

January 9 is Coming of Age Day. I woke up at 5:00 am. I was very very sleepy. I seldome do getting up early. Then I went to "Bridal Miyuki." There is Heisei town. First, I dressed up. My long-sleeved kimono is pink. This is what Bekky designed. She is talent. You are sure to know her. So this long-sleeved kimono is very fancy and bright. I like it!



Next, I went to beauty salon. This beauty salon is near by my house. The beautician made it up for me. My hair style is up style. I like this hairstyle. I will almost cut my hair. So the last lomg hair. I want to cut my hair!!






After that, I went to Uto Shimin hall. There is Coming of Age ceremony was done. There were many come of age people. I went to there my friends. My friends are very beautiful and cute! Everyone seemed to be an adult. I took amny picture with my friends. I was very happy! Then I went to the Uto City to take Print Club. We were able to take it colorfully. Everyone is very beautiful.






At night, I went to junior high school's almuni association. Everyone had not changed so much. I was relief. The almuni association was very interesting! Almost people were working. I was surprised. I think that I will do my best from now on. There was a friend who was not able to join in Coming of Age ceremony with us, too. Because, one friend died three years ago. Another friend died two years ago. I was very sad. I want to meet theirs again. But I can't meet theirs. I want to drink with. But I can't drink with... Coming of Age Day is there was sadness about gladness on too. So we should live hard from now on.


Coming of Age Day was very happy day! I want to meet everyone sometime! Thank you my friends! I love my friends!

I am going tell you about my university life. I am university student now. I go to Kumamoto gakuen university. I belong to Eibei gakka. So I study English. It is very difficult for me, but I like English. I study different English skill. Then I meet many friends everyday. I like meeting theirs. I talk many things with my friends. I am going to tell you about my happy University student life!!

I almost study four skills. It is reading, speaking, writing and listening. There are very important for me. I like study speaking and writing. Speaking is very interesting. Speaking class is talking English about various them theme with every classmate. It is always speak only English. Then some students are interview to classmate. We also do presentation. Everyone make different theme presentation. Every group's presentation is very interesting and wonderful! I like listening and watching every presentation.

Next, writing class use computer every time. We almost study at the blog, typing, book review, essay and diary. We must post them five a week. It is tired for me, but I should do homework. The typing has to post my blog at different theme. Then we must send my homework e-mail for teacher. We must time the speed of my typing. I do not like typing speed homework, because my typing is slowly. The book review is difficult. We must read an English book once a week. I like read an English book, but I read book that is very easy story. Really, I must read a difficult English book. I am trying it! I don’t choose English book but my favorite English book is cute and fantasy story. The essay must write many words. It is difficult for me. The essay usual writes quick post, outline, mind map and essays. I must write many things, but I can study English very much.

I am poor at reading and listening. I feel most difficult is Reading. Reading is read English newspapers. I almost read a "Daily Yomiuri." This newspaper make Japan news, so it is read easy, but I do not like read a newspaper. I do not know in the world news. I must search news. I am sometime watch TV news. There happen accident in the world. I must watch it. Then English newspaper is very difficult how to read. I must remember how to read English newspaper, so I am studying it now.

Next, I am poor at listening. Listening class make some group. So every group must answer to the teacher's questions. It is very difficult. Listening is very fast. I can't listen some words. We watch video every class. We often say it "Sabina." Main character's name of this video is "Sabina." It is keeping story now. I am interested in this story, but this video is not caption and not dubbing. That is say only English. Then every cast speak English is very fast. I can't listen their conversation. I listen their English very hard. So I am poor at listening. However, I like talk with my group. So I can do my best.

I am taking optional elective subjects. For example, I take biology, law and Christian introduction. It is difficult but there are important for me.

I am trying some examination. I want to work at Travel Company. So I take "travel business and management responsible" and "TOEIC." "Travel business and management responsible" is difficult take the quality. Successful applicant is below thirty percent every year. But I can't give up. I study hard it. The result, I was drop, but I try again next year. Almost people take the TOEIC. TOEIC is difficult test, but I need it. We must take examination. My score is not high yet. So I study hard English. I want to up my English skill.

I also like talking with my friends. I talk with my friends everyday. I often talk in classroom and restaurant. I am not tired of talking with my friends. I often talk normal life. For example, we talk our part-rime job, friends, study, love and TV star etc. Recently, I often talk about part-time jobs and TV star. Feeling over our talk run high. I can depend on my friends. My friends are very kind. There listen to my worry. I am happy. So I like my friends. Then we can help each other.

Finally, I am happy everyday. I like go to university, meet friends and go to part-time. I am study English from now on. I want to do overcome my poor subject. Then my good subject wants to develop from now on. I am second grade, so I have to a lot of study. My favorite university life memory is talk to my friends and study English. I make many memories with my friends. I do not regret for four years. I want to enjoy university life. I wish every student can spend on enjoy university life.

BR 2-18: King Donkey Ears

I read “King Donkey Ears.”

This story is about a king, Meg, a servant, the king’s best friend, a tree, a woodcutter and a harp.
There was once a king with a big secret. He didn’t even tell his best friend. Every month, the king had a hair cut. Then he sent the servant to prison. In July, it was Meg’s turn. Meg saw the king’s ears. She was shocked, but she didn’t say.

That night, it was all Meg could think about. She had to tell. At last, she had an idea. She wouldn’t tell anyone. She’d tell a tree. So she did. Now Meg felt much better. Later, a woodcutter chopped down the tree. The tree became a harp. One day, the king gave a huge concert. But the new harp played a very strange tune. The harp has been spilt secret. So the king freed all the servants. And he learned to love his ears. .

I think that it is not shameful that my secret is taken to pieces. But I am also find it’s mind. I have secret too.
My favorite line “he learned to love his ears.” (Lesley, 2009, p.25) It is important to love my fault. I learned it. I am also important to love my fault.

I read “The Baobab Tree.”

This story is about a talking tree and some angry African gods.
One day, they made a talking tree. They called it the Baobab tree. The Baobab tree talked a lot. The gods grew a forest of tall trees. The Baobab tree was fed up. The gods made trees with flowers. Then the gods made trees that grew fruit. But Baobab not fruit and flowers. They grabbed the Baobab tree and turned it upside down. His head was in the ground. He couldn’t open his mouth to talk. No one has ever heard the Baobab tree say another word.

I think that Baobab is very poor. I am sad. I wanted you to make the flower bloom in Baobab. I am not my favorite line. It’s story is sad too.

BR 2-16: The RUNAWAY PANCAKE

I read "The Runaway Pancake."
There was once a family with seven children, and they were always hungry. One day, their mother decided to make pancakes for breakfast. Then she poured the mix into a pan to cook. She tossed the first pancake, up in the air and down again. But the pancake didn't want to be eaten. It jumped right out of the pan and rolled out of the door. The pancake rolled out of the gate and into the road, faster and faster.

The pancake run about trying to escape. He becomes possible for them to eat by meeting various animals. It landed at the edge of a forest. By the forest was a pig in a pen. Now the pig wanted to eat the pancake too, but he was too clever to say so. "What's the hurry, Mr. Pancake?" he asked. "Let me walk through the dangerous place." The pancake looked into the forest. Maybe the pig was right. "Quickly!" he gasped. "Don't let them catch me!" "Who?" asked the pig. "THEM!" said the pancake. "The fox, the goat, the cat, the duck, the rabbit, the dog and all the family." The pig pretended not to hear it. The pancake jumped over the fence and into the pen. Then the pancake began to speak. But before he could shout any more, the pig snapped him up and swallowed him in one gulp...


I thought that I might do this if there were feelings also in food. I do not want to be able also to eat. Do you think so? My favorite line is the pancake said "I SAID, DON'T THEM CATCH ME!" (Mairi 2006 p.41) Feelings of the pancake have been transmitted. But final is very sad... I do not think the pig eat the pancake.

I read “Peach boy.” I think that almost people have read this book. Please read it once a time.

This story is about an old woman, an old man, an enormous peach, a brave little boy, a dog, a monkey and a pheasant.

Once upon a time, an old man and an old woman lived by a river. One morning, an old woman saw something floating on the water. It was the biggest peach she had ever seen. She fished out the peach and rolled it home. And an old man started to cut it open. Suddenly, the peach split in two. In side, there was a little boy. An old woman calls him “Peach boy.”

Peach Boy grew up quickly. Soon, he was the strongest, fastest boy in the village. He was also a champion fighter with his wooden sword. One day, Peach Boy came to a nearby village. He people in the village were very upset. Giant ogres came and took all our jewels. Peach Boy became go to Ogre Island. His father gave Peach Boy his honest sword.

He hadn’t gone far, when he met a dog. The next day, Peach Boy and Dog came to a dark forest. Then they met a monkey. A day later, the three were climbing up a steep hill. A pheasant hopped onto the rock. A pheasant also added the group. Finally, they came to the top of the hill. Through the mist, they could all see Ogre Island.

Peach Boy was the captain. Dog and Monkey rowed the boat. Pheasant flew ahead to look for ogres. Soon they landed on Ogre Island. The giant ogres didn’t hear Peach Boy, Dog and Monkey creep into the castle. A fierce battle broke out. Peach Boy jumped onto the blade of the Ogre King’s sword. Ogres were promised Peach Boy’s. He gave Peach Boy back the stolen jewels, and some food to eat and the four friends went home.

I think that I am important have many friends. The friends always help. I like my friends. A lot of friends come out for this story. It is very good! I want important your friends.
My favorite line is “Promise you’ll never attack anyone again.” (Alex, 2009, p.46) It is very important. Don’t you think so? Fighting is not good. Then Promise is very good important! I was made to think about that, too.

I read “The Golden Goose.” I’ll introduce about this story.

This story is about a woodcutter, his three sons, a little old man, a golden goose, an innkeeper and his wife, their three daughters and a very sad princess.

There was once a wood cutter, who had three sons. Ronald was strong. Donald was handsome. But Billy wasn’t strong or handsome. One day, the woodcutter became ill. They will go to the forest instead of father. First Ronald went to the forest. As he ate, a little man popped up beside him. “Please can you spare some food?” he asked. Ronald refused it. The next morning, Ronald had a shock. He itched all over. Second Donald went instead. All of a sudden, the little old man appeared. Then he asked same question too. “May U have a bit?” a little man asked. Donald confused too. Next morning, Donald had a shock, he is purple. Third, Billy went to the forest. At lunch time, Billy sat down to eat. The little man popped up again. “Please will you share your food with me?” he begged. “Of course,” said Billy. “Now, chop down this tree and see what happens. And with that, he was gone. Billy chopped down the tree. There, in the trunk sat a golden goose. Billy picked it up and set off for home.

But he got lost. Night came, and he stopped at an inn. “What a fine goose!” says she inn keeper. Much later, the innkeeper’s eldest daughter crept into Billy’s room. But as soon as she touched the goose, she stuck to it! Every girl stuck too. Billy woke up and got a shock. The next morning, Billy set off with his goose and the three girls.

Soon they came to a castle. A princess lived in this castle, and she never, ever smiled. But when she saw everyone, all running behind Billy and his goose. She started to smile. “At last!” cried the king. “Young man, would you like to marry my daughter?” “Yes please!” said Billy. The little old man appeared at the wedding. He waves his hands and everyone came un-stuck.

I thought that it should be kind to the person. Can you do kind to the person? I learned it for this book. My favorite line is “Thank you,” said the little man. (Mason 2008 p.23) I like “Thank you.” “Thank you” is very important. Don’t you think so? I want to value this word.

My favorite magazine is Fashion magazine, Music magazine and TV magazine. I often read magazine. Fashion magazine is buying once a month. It is named “Spring.” I often buy it. I read "The Magic Porridge Pot."

Do you know porridge? Porridge is like oatmeal. This story is about porridge.

This story is about hungry Hannah, an old woman, a greedy boy, a magic pot and a lot of porridge.

Hannah never had enough to eat. But, when she had some food, she always shared it.

One day, Hannah found some honey in the forest. Then she saw an old woman. The woman was carrying an empty pot. An old woman asked her "Would you like some porridge?" Hannah answerd "I'd LOVE some porridge." But, an old woman's pot is empty. The woman smiled. "That's doesn't matter," she said. "You just need to know the magic words." "Cook pot, cook!" Hot porridge filled the pot. "Stop pot, stop!" Then it stopped.

An woman geve porridge fto her. Remember the magic words and you will never be hungry again.

From then on, Hannah always had plenty to eat. She had porrdige for breakfast, porridge for lunch nad porridge for dinner. One evening, a greedy boy smelled the porridge. He saw the start to fill with porridge, but didn't see it stop. The boy waited until Hannah went to bed. Then he crept in, stole the pot and ran home. He couldn't to say the magic words. Steaming porridge filled the pot. Porridge driooed over the sides. "Stop!" cried the boy. But the pot didn't stop. Porridge poured onto the floor. Then porridge filled outside.

In her bedroom, Hannah sniffed. She ran putside. Porridge was pouring down the street. Hannah shouted the magic words. And a last, the pot stopped.

Finnaly, she got her pot backm, and no one ever stole it again.
My favorite line is "Cook pot, cook!" It words is very cute. I want to say this words. Then I want to eat porridge. (Grimm 2007 p.15)

My favorite elementary school memories

My favorite elementary school memories are school trip. I went to Nagasaki.First, we rode a ferry. It is very fun for us. Then we went to Nagasaki Peace Park. We did one thousand paper cranes before we came there. We were put every one thousand paper cranes, and we sang a peace song. So we wished everyone’s peace and world’s peace. I did not think that again did wars wanted you to occur. Next, we went to Nagasaki atomic bomb museum. I had gone there. Have you ever that place? There were many relic and picture at that time. I thought that I have never forgotten misery of war. After that, we went to hotel. So we ate dinner! I love this time! Then we were many experiences. Presentation restaurant

Hello, everyone! We will introduce our restaurant! Its name is Cabo da Boa Esperanca. It is Portuguese. In English, the Cape of Good Hope. In Japanese, Kibou Hou. Have you ever heard it? It is cape in the southwest end of Africa. So, our restaurant is African restaurant!!

First, we will introduce our restaurant's history. An aunt who was Portuguese African cooked local dishes. They received a favorite review, so she decided to open a restaurant named Cabo da Boa Esperanca. She knew Portuguese and African cultures, so she was able to match Portuguese dishes and African dishes. She conducted neighbors dishes homemade dishes were popular with them, so she opened a restaurant.

Second, we will introduce our restaurant's menu. All dishes are little expensive. And some dishes are strange, for example, Caterpillar seasoned with soy sauce, Insect Cocktail, Zebra sashimi, Ammonite stew, Caterpillar Salad, Grilled insects on skewers, Caterpillar fry and Caterpillar extract. But they are very delicious!

Then ,we will introduce popular dishes! First, Pumpkin Soup. It used a homemade pumpkin. It is very sweet and healthy. Second, Banana's leaf wrap ~vegetables and fish~. Salmon is wrapped by Banana's leaf and is steamed. It is very delicious! Third, Caterpillar fry. There are many caterpillars in a dish. They are fleshy and juicy. Please try it! Fourth, Tropical Forest Apple. It used tropical fruits, for example, mango, papaya, acerola etc... Especially, it is popular among women.

Third, we will introduce privilege. You can use T-point card! And every Wednesday, all dishes are half-price! And be careful, if you want to eat Ammonite stew, you need to make an appointment, because they are few lives in the world.

I read "The Genie in the Bottle." I'll introduce about this story.

This story is about a fisherman, a bottle and a BIG bad genie.

Once upon a time, a fisherman went fishing. He threw his nets again and again. He caught many dust. Then, he caught something else "A fish!" he cried. But it wasn't. It was an ols bottle. He pulled out the stopped and looked in. But this is empty. So he threw it away. Suddenly, smoke turned into a huge face. He is genie. The genie's tummy rumbled. "I'm hungry," he growled. "I'm going to EAT you!" The fisherman thouoght that he have to get genie back in the bottle. So Genie whooshed back in and the fisherman pushed the stopper in hard. Then the fisherman went on fishing and caught a tasty fish for dinner.

In this book there were a little fun. It is not very interesting for me. I want to read many stoies.
